Meet The Founder
Hello,
My name is Jennifer Stevens and I am the founder of Mindset Motherhood. My journey as a mother started at the age of 17. I have experienced postpartum as a teenager that led to a suicide attempt and also now in my thirties and it has led me to start Mindset Motherhood. While I cant get into my full story here, the goal for this organization is to bring more awareness, support and care to postpartum depression, challenges as a mom, and also empower and encourage this "hood", Motherhood!
Defining Postpartum Depression
What is Postpartum Depression?
This can simply be defined as a type of depression that occurs after childbirth, but those who have experienced postpartum depression or even baby blues know that it is much greater than that.
Here we run this marathon to bring more awareness, build and create more resources and tools to help us navigate and even overcome this depression.
My postpartum depression can be similar to others, but can also be very different and thats ok, its ok! Its ok to experience it and its ok to talk about it.

Postpartum Psychosis
This has been defined as a medical health emergency? Have you had thoughts or harming yourself or your baby(ies)? Lets talk about it, lets get the right resources! This is serious and our voices matter!
This image is of Andrea Yates, a mother who was found guilty of murdering her children, while her attorney tried to argue Postpartum Psychosis, a jury saw otherwise. There are many stories like this and while they all may not be due to postpartum a lot are! Lets tell our story!

Empowerment through Donations
If you or anyone you know is or has gone through postpartum depression, please dont allow them to feel alone. We are striving to get more resources, but without your help this may not be possible. If you are interested in donating, please click the link to do so, if you are interested in volunteering or even providing more information on how to get more resources, please feel free to contact us. It all matters and it all makes a difference!

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be able to provide proper therapy, rehabilitation, and support to mothers who are in need of help mentally and financially. We also want to bring more awareness to the fact that postpartum depression is real and we are suffering, a lot of us in silence! Our mission is to also help, provide, support, empower and encourage each mother through this battle however we possibly can.
